It looks like American rapper Pitbull is on a mission. The 45-year-old singer announced on Tuesday that he wants to break the world record for the largest gathering of people wearing bald caps. On Tuesday, Pitbull announced his plan to secure a Guinness World Records title for the largest gathering of people wearing bald caps. Taking to his Instagram account, he encouraged his fans to wear bald caps at his BST Hyde Park show on July 10 in London. Looks like the reason is pretty simple and fun: sharing the post, he wrote, “Every time you put on that bald cap…you know you’re about to have the TIME OF YOUR LIVES! Daleee.”
The BST Hyde Park confirmed Pitbull’s goal with a post on Instagram, stating that the gathering is an attempt to achieve a Guinness World Record. The page read, “It’s official. Let’s make history.”

According to Rolling Stone, the singer expressed his feelings about baldies who are going to attend the show. He further said that he just wants to let everyone know that every time they put on the bald cap, they are going to have the time of their lives. Further, he also thanked his fans for their unwavering commitment and support towards him.
Inspiration Behind Wearing Bold Caps
As per the news portal, the idea came to light after a few die-hard fans were seen attending Pitbull concerts in bald caps, aviators and snug-fitting suit jackets. Last June, Pitbull also spoke to the BBC about his concert costumes, which often feature sunglasses, a goatee, a white button-down shirt and a bald cap. Talking about the same thing, he expressed that he wants his fans to know that the connection is deeper than just music when they put on a bald cap for his concert. According to the Guinness World Records database, currently, there is no record holder for this trend.
The BST Hyde Park website also stated that additional supporting acts will be announced at a later time. Pitbull will kick off his tour on May 14, with scheduled stops running through September.
