Tejas Express Amenities

Tejas Express is a semi-high-speed train with modern amenities for passenger comfort. The coaches are manufactured at the Rail Coach Factory, Kapurthala. The newly designed coaches are capable of running at a speed of 200 km/h, but will run at a speed of 160 km/h due to rail track constraints. The train has one executive-class air-conditioned chair car with 56 seats and nine AC chair cars with a capacity of 78 seats each.

Tejas Express provides high-quality food and beverages to all passengers on board the train. There will also be provision for separate tea and coffee vending machines. The service on the train will be done through trolleys just like the airlines.

It offers a premium, flight-like travel experience featuring fully air-conditioned coaches with modern, aircraft-style amenities such as personalised LCD entertainment screens, Wi-Fi, bio-vacuum toilets and attendant call buttons. It is specially designed for comfort and speed. The train includes reclining eco-leather seats, USB charging points, curated meals and sliding doors.

Each coach provides an RO water filter in addition to the packaged drinking water. Passengers are served morning welcome tea, breakfast, snacks before disembarking, evening high tea and dinners as per itinerary timings.
