He stated that a traditional meal at his house would be centred around kalwan, the Marathi term his community uses for curry or gravy.
He revealed that since his wife enjoys cooking, the spread would typically include fish curry (kalwan), fish fry, mutton and chicken. For vegetarian guests, he said there would be dishes like aloo sabzi and bhindi sabzi. The meal would also feature staples such as phulkas, dal and ambat varan, a Maharashtrian tempered dal.
