Our Editor-in-Chief, Kamiya Jani, flew to Vapi in a helicopter to meet the one and only legendary cricketer MS Dhoni. Known for his cool and calm presence on the field, MS Dhoni, aka ‘Captain Cool’, indulged in a fun chat with Kamiya, where they talked about more than just cricket.
MS Dhoni Loves Making Impromptu Travel Plans
When Kamiya asked MS Dhoni how often he comes to Vapi, MS Dhoni replied that it was his first time in the city. He further revealed how much he loves making impromptu plans, and he is pretty good at it. “I’m good at making plans that are abrupt.”
He shared an incident where one of his friends, who is quite scared of sitting in a plane or helicopter, said, ‘Let’s pack and leave now.’ It was an impromptu plan, and MS Dhoni looked at the time; it was 1:15 am, and he was like, ‘Yes, let’s go.’ He said, “So we drove down. It took us four hours. And I would like to see the place more because I came at night. You don’t get that vibe at night.” He further revealed how much he likes Vapi.

MS Dhoni also discussed his fondness for small towns, stating that he himself is from Ranchi, which is not a very big city. “I always say I’m a small-town boy in the sense that I love small towns, you know, because you have a bit more time for yourself and all of that,” Dhoni revealed. He liked visiting Vapi, but he should have been there three or four years back.
MS Dhoni On His Calm Nature
MS Dhoni is known for his cool nature, but when asked if he ever loses his cool, he has a fun reply to it. He said, “I am also human; I feel the same.” While he wouldn’t be overly upset if he made mistakes within his control, his sport would still irritate him.
He further stated that he is well aware you cannot win all the games, but the controllable aspects are easier to manage.
