In this fun-filled episode of Tere Gully Mein, we had none other than India’s youngest and most dynamic MPs, Raghav Chadha, invite our Editor-in-Chief, Kamiya Jani, for a delicious homemade meal. At the Punjabi household, Kamiya relished a wholesome breakfast of Beetroot Dhokla, Appe, Parineeti Chopra’s Mushroom Toast, Gobi Parathas made of jowar, sliced avocados and more. During this Tere Gully Mein episode, the politician discussed his journey from being a Chartered Accountant to entering politics.
Raghav Chadha Talks About His CA To Politics Journey
India’s dynamic MP, actor Parineeti Chopra‘s husband, and the new father, Raghav Chadha, invited Kamiya Jani to his lavish home in Delhi. While giving a house tour, Raghav showed her his cosy work office, which features a bookshelf. The politician shared that the books stacked on the shelf used to be his steady companions while he was pursuing CA. Raghav joked that he finds cracking CA more difficult than becoming a politician.
Expressing gratitude to God, Raghav told Kamiya that he cracked CA in his first attempt. He credited his training as a CA for helping him look at subjects like economic policies, income tax and more with a new perspective.
“My studies and training always come to help,” he added. Speaking about his foray into politics, Raghav made a confession — his mother was initially unhappy with his career decision. She advised her son to stay away from active politics. The MP added that while his mother encouraged him to serve the nation, she was sceptical about him getting into politics.

Reveals His Dream To Have More Youngsters In Parliament
“Rajneeti has become a very bad word. Parents do not encourage their children to get into politics as it’s seen as a bad word.” His parents earlier told him that politics was meant for the unemployed, unemployable and the retired. The fact that young people don’t get into politics is something unfortunate, believes Raghav. “More than 50% of India’s population is below the age of 25 years. We are a very young country. Just like the country is young, politics also needs the youth.” Raghav shared his dream—at least 50% of members of the Indian parliament should be young people.
