Good news! Indian Railways has launched a super app called RailOne to book IRCTC tickets, check train status, track PNR numbers, order food, and much more. This new application promises to upgrade the travel experience for millions across the country. Here’s what you need to know.
Super-App RailOne By Indian Railways
Indian Railways keeps finding new ways to improve the passenger experience. Now, in a major step forward, they have launched an app called RailOne. It will be your one-stop platform to book tickets, track live train status, order food, request refunds, and file complaints, as per India Today. This new app is designed to make your travel experience simple. You won’t have to switch between multiple railway apps anymore. Union Minister of Railways of India, Ashwini Vaishnaw, took to his X account to officially announce its launch.
Developed by the Centre for Railway Information Systems (CRIS), RailOne is a free app which you can download on Android (Google Play Store) and iOS (Apple App Store). Moreover, RailOne combines services from several other railway apps like IRCTC Rail Connect, UTSonMobile, NTES, Rail Madad, and Food On Track. That means you can now use just one app for everything.
Features That Make RailOne Stand Out
The RailOne application brings together several helpful features in one place. Here are some of its key features:
- Passengers can book reserved and unreserved train tickets for any class.
- They can live-track the current location of their train.
- Platform numbers and unexpected delays can also be checked easily.
- Passengers can also check PNR status updates and their entire booking history in the ‘My Bookings’ section.
- The app also has a service to order food online from partner vendors.
- The app also has a ‘Coach Position Finder’ to help the passenger locate their coach easily on the platform.
Along with these pointers, RailOne includes a refund management system for cancelled or missed trains. It also features an integrated ‘Rail Madad’ section to file and track complaints. The app is available on both iOS and Android. It supports multiple languages and offers a single sign-in using IRCTC or UTS credentials, as per India Today.
Sounds great, right? RailOne is a user-friendly app that will store all your ticket info, refunds, and travel plans in one place. No more switching apps or searching for booking details on other applications. Plus, you will also get access to R-Wallet—Indian Railways’ digital wallet, to pay for tickets and other services quickly.
We are sure this app will make travelling on Indian Railways much easier and more convenient. What do you think?
