Indian Railways is all set to launch its semi-high-speed Vande Bharat Express on five more routes. The launch will take place on June 26. The launch was supposed to take place earlier due to the three-train accident in Odisha that claimed 288 lives on June 2. It is expected that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch these trains virtually at an event via video conferencing.
Vande Bharat Express To Be Launched On 5 More Routes
The five trains will travel the following routes: Patna-Ranchi, Bhopal-Indore, Mumbai-Goa, Bangalore-Hubballi, and Bhopal-Jabalpur. Five Vande Bharat express trains will be operating for the first time on the same day. In contrast to previous launches that have received a lot of excitement, this one will be more sombre in light of the Odisha catastrophe.
Vande Bharat’s trains are capable of reaching high speeds of 180 km/h. Automatic doors, bio-vacuum restrooms, wi-fi, and regenerative braking systems are all features of these unique trains. They also have passenger information systems that use GPS.
