We all know how Indian Railways is always striving to come up with something new to make people’s journeys memorable. They have been introducing new trains, installing the One Station, One Product Scheme (OSOP) at various stations, and coming up with new digital features as well. The recent development says that it will soon introduce Push Pull trains. What is it? What are its features? Keep reading!
Indian Railways To Soon Launch Push Pull Trains
Indian Railways serves over 10 million travellers every year. The majority of these travellers belong to the low income section and, hence, cannot afford many facilities like Vande Bharat trains. Hence, in order to make the travel experience of these people better, Indian railways will soon launch Push Pull trains.
Passengers can get an experience similar to that of the Vande Bharat Express on Push Pull trains. Chennai-based Integral Coach Factory (ICF) is manufacturing a Push train with LHB (Linke Hofmann Busch) coaches.
The train will run at a speed of 130 kilometers per hour. It will cater to long distance travellers who travel in second-class sitting and sleeping coaches.

Amazing And Better Travel Experience
The Push Pull trains will offer an amazing travel experience to the travellers in this category. The features include plush toilets, a talkback system, continuous lighting in the pathways, improved interiors, closed vestibules, a fire alarm, and charging points.
The 22-coach train with two locomotives will probably be launched in October. The 22 coaches of the train will include eight second-sitting coaches, two coaches for differently abled passengers and luggage, and 12 sleeper coaches. One locomotive will be at the rear and one in front.
The non-AC compartments will have a combination of unreserved and sleeper 3 tier coaches. These coaches are being built at ICF, and Chittaranjan Locomotive Works in West Bengal will be producing them. The trains will receive a new name once they enter the Indian Railways.
