According to an article which was recently published by NDTV, this was announced on Tuesday, June 18, 2024. Tien Chung-Kwan, who is the Deputy Foreign Minister of Taiwan, made a statement that Taiwan was mulling over providing visa-on-arrivals to Indian passport holders.

He said this while speaking to the reporters. He also went on to highlight India’s tremendous travel potential and noted that its citizens travel a lot. Hence, with the aim of taking advantage of this factor, the government is considering providing this facility for Indians.

It is important to note, however, that before taking any concrete decision, internal discussions with the immigration department of Taiwan are required. The deputy foreign minister highlighted the necessity for the same and said that the decision needs to be collaborative and cannot be enacted by the government alone.

The deputy foreign minister also stated that Taiwan has a proactive commitment to facilitating tours and travel. What is more, the Indian masses have demonstrated immense promise in terms of travel.

Hence, the minister said that the government is giving very serious consideration to facilitating visa-on-arrival to Indian passport holders. Once this particular process is facilitated, Indians will find travelling to Taiwan much easier.

Taiwan’s diversity is especially noteworthy when it comes to food. It is the birthplace of the famous boba milk tea and a number of other delicious food items.
