Saudi Arabia is seen as the emerging favourite destination of Indians. India’s travel industry has observed that Indians are travelling to Saudi Arabia, and this has been the case for two years now. The Kingdom’s recent promotional campaigns are all aiming to attract about 2 million visitors by the end of this year.
Indians Prefer Saudi Arabia As A Tourist Destination
If you take a look at the data from the last two years, India has become Saudi Arabia’s key tourism market. The Saudi Travel Authority expects that India will become one of its largest markets.
The Saudi Travel Authority has hosted a number of events in India during February. They highlighted the Kingdom’s historical sites as well as cutting edge initiatives. STA also struck a mindful collaboration with the world’s most watched T20 cricket franchise, the Indian Premier League. This was done to leverage a sizable sports viewership.
MakeMyTrip, the largest online travel company in India, mentioned that these efforts by Saudi Arabia have begun yielding results. Raj Rishi Singh, chief business officer, told Arab News that the recent campaigns are actually having the desired impacts.

Top Three Destinations In The Kingdom
According to India’s travel industry, travellers travelling to Saudi Arabia are mostly from India’s metropolitan cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, and Bengaluru. It also comprises people from some of the other large cities in the country.
The top three destinations in the Kingdom preferred by Indians are Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dammam. Saudi tourism has been focusing its efforts on fostering relationships with the key players in the Indian tourism business. It is investing in marketing and branding initiatives that are targeted at the Indian market in order to raise the numbers even more.
