Travel experiences of the 2020s and a couple of decades back are vastly different yet somewhat similar. The joy of travelling to new destinations and exploring all around remains the same but our preferences for different experiences have changed. From sports tourism to adventure travel to spiritual trips, the tourism sector in India has seen many major changes in the past years. This time, our country is about to witness something pioneering and never seen before. In the hands of the Gujarat government, submarine tourism is all set to make a grand entrance in Dwarka.

The domestic tourism sector is flourishing with tourists with an eagerness to explore regional destinations. India also witnesses a significant number of overseas visitors every year. In the recent few years, religious tourism has captured an impressive market in India and it is all set to be revolutionised and enhanced. The Gujarat government is launching submarine tourism in India in a grand manner. Once operational, this will be the first experience of its kind in our country.

It will be an extraordinary journey to witness the glory of the submerged city of Dwarka like never before. Gujarat government joined hands with Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders and signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to mark the beginning of this exemplary project. According to a report by India Today, underwater tourism services will commence journeys by Diwali 2024.

India is known worldwide for its rich culture, heritage, and glorious spiritual tourism. The introduction of the unique submarine adventure tourism in Dwarka will offer visitors a one-of-a-kind underwater experience to witness the historical tapestry this destination has to offer and the rich diverse marine wonders.
