India’s largest leopard safari at Bannerghatta Biological Park is spread across 20 hectares of land. As per The Hindu, it was created at a cost of ₹4.5 crore and has been secured with railway barricades all around. The report further suggests that the safari area is made up of undulating terrain. It also has a natural rocky outcrop and semi-deciduous forest.

Furthermore, the entire safari enclosure is covered with a vertical chain-link mesh which is 4.5 metres high. The authorities have also laid flat-rolled mild steel sheets over the mesh at a 30° inclined angle of 1.5 metres. All this is done to make sure that the leopards don’t stray out of the safari area.
