When it comes to the Indian aviation sector, one of the most prominent names in this vast industry is IndiGo. Since its inauguration, the airline has catered to lakhs of passengers and took them to their destinations, both nationwide and globally. While IndiGo is mostly appreciated for its services and chosen by many travellers every day, everyone is shocked to see the airline occupying a position on the world’s worst airlines list.
IndiGo Reacted After Securing A Position On The World’s Worst Airlines List
The news of this Indian airline being featured on this much-talked-about global list shocked many. The 2024 AirHelp Score report shared information about IndiGo securing a spot on the world’s worst airlines list. With a score of 4.80, the airline has been ranked in the 103rd position. Overall, the list featured 109 airlines.
The EU-based claim processing agency considered several factors to prepare this list. Some of the main reasons behind the low ratings are food quality, customer satisfaction, cabin crew’s services, feedback from travellers, arrival and departure on time, customer claims, and issues with flight disruptions among others. Before mentioning different airlines, including IndiGo, on this list, AirHelp Inc. reviewed these points and processed the data.
This online agency’s recent report stating the world’s worst airlines has been released by considering data between January and October. They used passenger reviews from 54 countries for different airlines. Starting from the quality of food to offered services to comfortable journeys, they evaluated data on different facets.
IndiGo reacted to being featured on this list. The airline criticised the process and doubted the survey’s credibility. On Wednesday, it responded against the survey’s ranking and claimed the list’s lack of transparency.
The Airline Issued An Official Statement
IndiGo expressed its opinion and refuted the survey following the release of the world’s worst airlines list. The airline pointed out how it has continued to consistently perform well and scored high when it comes to maintaining punctuality.
IndiGo further stated how the data in the survey did not report the sample size from India. In addition, the airline highlights how the survey did not consider the global aviation industry’s compensation guidelines.
