Influencer Raises ₹1.8 Cr For Uber Driver Who Assisted Her When She Got Robbed

A 23-year-old social media influencer, Becca, was left stranded in Coachella, a music festival in California, after her phone, credit card, and rental car keys were stolen. She was left stranded for a while after the robbery. According to a media report, Becca received help from an Uber driver following the incident.

Becca’s Experience With The Uber Driver

The Uber driver, Raul Torres, drove Becca to a store to buy a new phone. On their way, Becca narrated the entire incident of the robbery to Raul. Becca told the media that Torres didn’t leave her at the store but waited and made sure she got a phone. Torres went on to take the day off at work, took Becca to Starbucks and later drove her to a police station to report the robbery.

Becca said that the police could trace the phone but could not find it. Torres’ kindness did not end here, and he even accompanied her to search for the phone. They were finally able to find it. Luckily, even the credit card was inside the phone case.

After the chaotic day, Becca took to social media to inform her followers of the day’s events. She told them about the kindness of the Uber driver and how he saved her day! She created a GoFundme for Torres to raise support for his daughter, who was battling cancer. And that’s not it, and Tik Tok users went on to donate a whopping 1.8 crore for Torres’daughter. And the funds are only growing. Becca expressed how the funds were raised in just 24 hours.

No wonder acts of kindness never go wasted.
