The design of this mosque is inspired by Ottoman Art and has a capacity for 1,647 worshippers at a time. Open just in time for the month of Ramadan, it is equipped with modern facilities as revealed by Dubai’s Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department. This mosque has been designed in such a way that it offers the utmost comfort to worshippers and it spans a whopping 5021.31 m².
Complete with a courtyard, parking spaces, prayer halls, and rehabilitation areas, this mosque has been designed to the highest of standards. In fact, there are even designated areas for People of Determination so that everybody in the community can pray comfortably. Out of the 1,647 worshippers that it can accommodate, it has space for 1,397 men and 250 women. This opening of the mosque is a significant step towards Dubai’s urban development.
It comes at a time when it was recently revealed that the UAE is planning to open 54 mosques. This was revealed by the General Authority for Islamic Affairs, Endownments and Zakat.
