We are all for street food, small stalls, and discovering new places. What we think one should not compromise on is the hygiene factor of the place that you are getting your food from. We recently came across this reel of Naklang Chai from Rajkot. This place is quite popular in the area but we can’t help but notice (like hundreds on the internet) the unclean vessel in which the tea is prepared. Read on to know more.
The ‘Famous’ Naklang Chai In Rajkot That Makes You Rethink Hygiene
Instagrammer Amar Sirohi posted a reel on his account @foodie_incarnate about Rajkot’s famous Naklang Chai. The reel shows the entire process of this chai preparation in a giant vessel. It is made with buffalo milk and boiled on a medium flame for almost half an hour to reach the taste that people love there. It is sieved in a cotton cloth and served with some Bournvita in a kulhad. Now, if you think the last part is what got the internet roaring, then sadly that’s not it!
If you go through the reel, you’ll notice that the giant vessel in which the tea is prepared is quite dirty. It looks like the vessel isn’t cleaned regularly, despite making chai in it multiple times a day.
