Ira Khan and her long-term partner and fitness instructor, Nupur Shikhare, tied the knot in Mumbai on January 3rd, exchanging vows. The couple took a plane to Udaipur, Rajasthan, after this short ceremony, as they will be celebrating the ceremonies at the Taj Lake Palace. Ira has been using Instagram to post updates from the celebrations. She began sharing pictures from the airport itself, where a board welcomes everyone to their wedding.

Ira posted a few photos to her Instagram Story, one of which shows a hearty celebratory feast that signalled the start of the wedding celebrations. The couple is participating in a lively cultural festival with their loved ones.
The pictures from the Taj Lake Palace wedding celebrations demonstrate that this isn’t your typical extravaganza. A couple of photos capture the bride and other attendees participating in headstands throughout the celebrations. Some depict them lounging casually.
Ira also sent along a long shot of the wedding party taken at the airport. In the frame were Ira and her mother, Reena Dutta. She also posted a video of their customised schedule for their wedding festivities.
In the footage, the wedding party is seen having a good time in Udaipur at events like candlelight dinners, boat excursions, and Sufi sangeets. She and a few others also uploaded some videos of the visitors dancing with the hotel’s folk dancers. The visitors sang and laughed together over the candlelit welcome meal and qawwali night, which were also part of the festivities.

Aamir Khan, a pleased father, was spotted wearing traditional Kurta pyjamas as he greeted the guests. In a video, he was seen greeting guests with his hands folded. Ira shared videos from the bridal shower in which she and Nupur danced to the hit song “When You Look Me In The Eyes” by the Jonas Brothers and enjoyed a live singing performance by their buddy.

The celebration schedule includes a sangeet ceremony on the ninth of the month and a pyjama party on Monday. On the tenth, the pair will reaffirm their vows in a customary ceremony. A lavish wedding reception is planned for January 13 at the NMACC in Mumbai, following the festivities in Udaipur.
The couple also posted pictures with Ira’s half brother Azad, and the pictures look quite cute. One of the videos also clarified the reason behind Nupur running to the wedding venue on January 3, which had gained a lot of attention from netizens.
