The Indian Railways Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) is an important body of the tourism industry in India. And to encourage travellers to visit Gujarat, IRCTC has introduced a special ‘Saurashtra With Statue Of Unity’ package with prices starting from ₹31,000 per person So, what can you expect from the package? Indian Railways Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has introduced a travel package named ‘Saurashtra With Statue of Unity’. The offer is exclusively for travellers starting their journey from Hyderabad. 

This package presents an opportunity to explore significant destinations in Gujarat, including Ahmedabad, Dwaraka, Rajkot, Somnath, and the nearby Statue of Unity in Kevadia. The tour will span 7 days and 6 nights, commencing on September 10, with prices starting from ₹31,550.

The itinerary is set to include visits to various attractions such as Adalaj Stepwell, Sabarmati Ashram, Akshardham temple, Dwarkadhish temple, and the Bet Dwarka.

Travellers will also be able to visit Nageshwar Jyotirlinga, Somnath temple, and Vadodara and plan a trip to Kevadia to witness the Statue of Unity. The package covers air tickets from Hyderabad to Vadodara and also is inclusive of breakfast and dinner. As per reports by Indian  Express. 

The offer also will cover the bus fares for the travellers while going for local sightseeing as per the itinerary. And for the extra worriers, the package also is inclusive of travel insurance. 

Dedicated tour escort services by the IRCTC  will be available throughout the journey, and access to the Statue of Unity’s viewing gallery will also be given to the guests. The package offers a range of different pricing options. The offers start from ₹31,550  and go up to ₹42,950. 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled the Statue of Unity in Gujarat’s Narmada district on October 31 2018.  It is the world’s tallest statue, twice the height of the Statue of Liberty.

The project cost ₹2,989 crore and took 42 months to complete.

Around 3,400 labourers and 250 engineers worked day and night on the statue. The foundation stone was laid in October 2013 by Modi, who was the chief minister of Gujarat at that time.

The Statue of Unity surpasses China’s ‘Spring Temple Buddha’ as the tallest statue in the world.

It is important to note that all travellers are required to carry their valid ID cards with them at all times to avoid any obstacles during the trip.
