Haryana To Get India’s First Disneyland Park?
According to Hindustan Times, Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini is planning to bring India’s first Disneyland Park near Gurgaon. He mentioned that the state authorities have already identified 500 acres of land for the same, and this theme park could help make Haryana an international tourist destination.
The proposed amusement park will be established along the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal (KMP) Expressway and the Haryana Orbital Rail Corridor. This will mean it will have smooth and seamless access from Delhi and other nearby cities.
CM Saini met Union Culture and Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat and later announced elaborate plans for Haryana’s tourism. According to him, the theme park will be a “game-changer” for Haryana’s tourism and economy.
Other Plans To Boost Tourism In The State
With the proposed Disneyland park near Gurgaon, Haryana aims to establish itself as a tourist hub, along the lines of Paris, Tokyo, and California. Besides the amusement park, the state has other plans to boost tourism as well. Haryana hopes to blend “heritage, entertainment, and infrastructure” to increase tourist inflow.
For this, the state authorities plan to host the much-awaited Surajkund Crafts Mela three times a year, instead of once. They have also planned to expand the cultural calendar and include Diwali Fairs and Book Fairs to give platforms to performers, writers, and artists.
