There are many airports around the world that are connected by numerous flights. So, travelling through these disconnected airports is quite convenient in this day and time. However, there are some airports that are better connected than others. And in a recent report by Cirium, which is an aviation analytics platform, the best-connected airports were revealed. Istanbul’s International Airport has taken the top spot!

iGA Istanbul Airport Is The Best-Connected Airport In The World

On the basis of data that has been collected from the first quarters of 2024, Cirium has compiled a list of some of the best-connected airports in the world. The top spot has been taken by iGA Istanbul Airport. Yes, serving a whopping 309 destinations, this airport has topped the ranking list. As it happens, it’s closely followed by Frankfurt with 296 places, Paris Charles de Gaulle with 286 and Amsterdam Schiphol with 270. An airport just opened six years ago back in the year 2018, it has moved to the top for its great connectivity. Additionally, about 90 million passengers pass through the global hub every year, which makes it the seventh busiest airport in the world.

This result is also hardly surprising as Dubai continues to be one of the busiest airports in the world. In fact, the forecast is to surpass the traffic levels for 2023.
