Recently, Dubai Media Office took to its official account on X to reveal that Dubai has secured the first place as the number one global destination for a third consecutive year. Yes, it was awarded this ranking in Tripadvisor’s Travellers’ Choice Awards, thereby becoming the first city to achieve this recognition for three years in a row.

The crown prince of Dubai Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who is also the Chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai also took to his official account on X to inform about the same. Yes, he mentioned that the city has secured the top spot, thereby becoming the number-one global destination in 2024 Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice Awards. As a result, it has become the first city to achieve this recognition for three consecutive years.

This award and recognition are hardly surprising as the city is known for its consistent accomplishments when it comes to several sectors. Notably in the tourism sector, it has grown tremendously and with the efforts of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who is the Vice President, and Prime Minister of the UAE and the ruler of Dubai, This one’s distant dream has now become a reality. In fact, in the tweet posted by Sheikh Hamdan, he mentioned that Sheikh Mohammed has outlined ambitious goals for the Dubai Tourism Sector. Yes within the Dubai Economic Agenda, D33, it has said sights on positioning Dubai among the top three economic cities and tourist destinations.

At this point, it is worth mentioning that other cities that secured top sports include Bali, which came in second and was followed by London in the third spot. As such, London has retained its title as the number one destination in Europe and third globally, while New York, which is the highest-ranking American destination saw a small decline by moving from 23rd to 25th place.
