Eid al-Adha holidays are just a few days away and many people are already packing their bags as they have booked the tickets. A lot of families are travelling as the six-day long weekend falls just before the beginning of summer break. So, it’s hardly surprising that around 80% of the bookings are for international trips while others are for staycations in the Emirates. Here’s a look at the top 10 destinations that UAE travellers have in their minds for the holidays.

The long Eid al-Adha weekend is one of the most awaited holidays across the UAE, as a result, many people have already made plans to travel with their loved ones. So, airports across the United Arab Emirates are bracing themselves to welcome millions of passengers, as they want to make the best of this long weekend, which will be followed by the summer break. As such, travellers across the UAE are preferring to travel abroad for their vacation. In fact, going by a report published by Khaleej Times, it was mentioned that approximately 80 per cent of the bookings or for international travel and the remaining is for staycations in the UAE.

So, with a large number of people opting for a vacation abroad, it does make one wonder what are the top choices this year. So, here’s a list of the top 10 most popular destinations that have been booked for the summer according to dnata Travel.

There’s An Increase In International Bookings This Year

As it happens, the agency also revealed in the report that 23% of the bookings or for Thailand for the summer. Not to mention, around 18% more are opting to travel abroad. This year between June and September 2023. Not to mention, this development comes ahead of the massive holiday rush expected at the UAE airports. In fact, Dubai International Airport also released its set of guidelines in order for passengers to avoid the massive rush of people travelling during these holidays.
