What Is It?
Docked near one of the iconic attractions in the city, the Burj Khalifa, Zuma thrives on the Japanese-style dining – ‘Izakaya’ where the food is shared amongst the diners. The dishes are brought to the table with a modern-day twist creating a simple yet metropolitan style of eating and drinking.
The concept founded back in 2002 by Arjun Waney & Rainer Becker, gradually made its way to the UAE in 2008. Although the bar wears a proud cap for signature drinks, their delectable menu is not something that can be ignored! Meanwhile, here’s where men can have some fun in Dubai.
The highlight or the hero at Zuma is the ‘Sake Bar’ which is completely made of wood. The bar offers a stylish variety of spirits and sake (Japanese alcoholic drink made from rice). Party animals can choose from a range of Heritage cocktails, Nomikai Cocktails, or Kurashikku cocktails. The bar also serves an impressive selection of non- alcoholic cleansers, Champagne and wine. And, if you’re running on a tight budget, Baar Baar in Dubai lets you party in style for less!
Zuma’s Menu
The food manages to stay on par with the drinks at Zuma. Pick from an ornately crafted menu inspired by contemporary Japanese culture. The food has its essence in place when it comes to being authentic, but doesn’t shy away from being experimental. This works phenomenally on the food – be it the robata skewers, the live sushi counter or the sushi rolls. The bestsellers on the menu include Nigiri in Sushi, Korean style Lamb Chops, Jumbo Tiger Prawn with Juzu Pepper etc. to mention a few.
