The National award-winning director Sudhanshu Saria’s latest film Ulajh starring Janhvi Kapoor, Gulshan Devaiah, Roshan Mathew and Meiyang Chang among others has created quite the intrigue amongst cinephiles. Equal intrigue has also been created by Janhvi’s look during a screening of this spy thriller. The actress’s white dress sparked quite the meme fest or feast after Netizens compared it to Neer Dosa and Rava Dosa.
Janhvi Kapoor’s White Dress Looks Like Rava Dosa & Neer Dosa?
Janhvi Kapoor attended a screening of her latest film Ulajh in Mumbai last night. The star-studded event saw the likes of Arjun Kapoor, Khushi Kapoor, Janhvi Kapoor’s alleged boyfriend Shikhar Pahariya, and the legendary actress Rekha among others. Janhvi wore an elegant fresh off-the-runway white mini-dress from designer Rimzim Dadu’s latest couture collection “Stucco”.
The designer described the dress as a “textural masterpiece” which draws inspiration from the elegance of the renaissance era. However, this dress reminded Netizens of two of South India’s most underrated yet delicious dosas — Rava Dosa and Neer Dosa. Rava Dosa is a dosa made of semolina and rava. It’s known for its golden-brown colour with crispy pockets and textures. Neer Dosa from coastal Karnataka is a dosa made of rice flour and coconut. Often paired with meat gravies, it’s soft and has similar pockets.

Others Said It Looked Like A Crochet Tablecloth
Jahnvi’s dress created quite a buzz. Followers of the massive fashion page Diet Sabya also compared her dress to her dosa. DietSabya posted a picture of a comparison of Janhvi’s white dress with a delicious plate of Neer Dosa. In the caption, the fashion wrote, “Craving dosa now.”Another Netizen joked that it made them wonder about the next day’s breakfast. Others drew similarities to a white crochet tablecloth, used to cover dining tables.
We understand getting hungry on seeing the cutest food-shaped accessories. But it’s funny how this dress wasn’t intended to have anything to do with food. It’s all a matter of perception, isn’t it?

Hailing from Mangalore, I wouldn’t be lying if I were to tell you that Jahnvi Kapoor’s white dress reminded me of Neer Dosa. And I’m certainly craving one too!
