Janmashtami 2024: From Bengaluru To Delhi, Traffic Police Issues Advisory Across Different Cities; Check Alternative Routes

Devotees all around India and abroad are celebrating the grand occasion of Janmashtami. Because of the auspicious festival and the expected crowd in some places, traffic departments have released traffic advisories in different Indian cities. From Delhi to Bengaluru to Hyderabad, here’s about each traffic advisory issued by traffic police departments in various cities for Janmashtami.

Bengaluru Traffic Police Issued Advisory Ahead Of Janmashtami

The advisory is because of the festival on Devasandra main road Sri Venugopala Swamy Temple. This area comes under the jurisdiction of the K R Pura traffic police station. From 8AM on August 26 to 6AM on August 27, vehicular movement has been restricted on Devasandra main road.

Follow these alternative routes:

  • Vehicles travelling from Kodigehalli and Hoodi Main Road towards Devasandra and K R Pura Market need to take a right turn near Lulu’s Bakery at Jai Bhuvaneshwari Junction and continue travelling towards K R Pura Market through the Ayyappanagar Main Road – Basavanapura Main Road – Bhattarahalli Junction.
  • Vehicles travelling from K R Pura Market side towards Kodigehalli and Hoodi Main Road can take a right turn near GRT and travel on the Basavanapura Main Road (Krishna Talkies Road) and then pass through the Bhattarahalli Junction.

Delhi Traffic Police Released Advisory Too

Delhi traffic police made special traffic arrangements for Janmashtami celebrations on Monday and released an advisory for this as well.

  • Starting from 2 PM on August 26, no vehicles will be allowed on Mandir Marg from Roundabout Talkatora Stadium towards Mandir Marg up to Peshwa Road – Mandir Marg T-Point and vice versa.
  • Now vehicles can be on Mandir Lane from Roundabout Shankar Road to Mandir Marg.

Commuters should avoid these roads near Golok Dham Temple in Sector 10 in Dwarka.

  • From Sector 9/10 crossing, Dwarka to DDA Ground, Sector-10 Roundabout, Dwarka.
  • Road between Aman Chowk, Sector-6/10 crossing, Dwarka to T-Point, Golok Dham Temple.

Follow these diversion points around Adhya Katyani Shakti Peeth, Chhattarpur.

  • From CDR Chowk towards Andheria Mor
  • From Y-Point towards 100 Foota Red Light

Here’s About Hyderabad Traffic Police’s Advisory

Hyderabad Traffic Police issued an advisory on Monday because of Janmashtami celebrations at ISKCON temple, Abids. Everyone will follow these diversions from 4 AM to 11 PM on August 26.

  • Vehicles travelling from Gunfoundry and Tilak Road to move towards Nampally Station Road will get diverted at GPO Junction towards MJ Market.
  • Next, traffic from MJ Market towards GPO Junction will be diverted at MJ Market towards Nampally.
  • Vehicles coming from Nampally towards Koti Bank Street can travel from Bharath Petrol Pump – Left – ACB Lane – Yousuf & Company – Troop Bazar – Koti Bank Street.
  • Lastly, vehicles coming from the BJP State Office cannot travel towards the Old Collectorate Office Junction and divert towards MJ Market Road.
