Jeddah is a vibrant city with many things popping up for the locals and tourists alike. And if you are a resident of the city, then you will be pleased to know that there is a new digital art museum that has just opened its doors. Yes, we are talking about teamLab Borderless Jeddah, which is basically an Instagrammable digital museum from Japan that has now made its way into the neighbourhoods of Jeddah.

teamLab Borderless Jeddah Is Now Open

One of the most highly anticipated openings of the year, this digital art museum has finally opened its doors, after it was first announced in 2022. Located in Culture Square teamLab Borderless Jeddah is an innovative museum that’s open daily. It’s spread across 10,000 m² and is the first digital art museum in Jeddah! Launched in collaboration with the Saudi Ministry of Culture, the aim is to present artworks without boundaries. As a result, visitors will get to wander and discover some great masterpieces.

Art Based On Light, Sound & Touch

At this point, it’s worth mentioning that the museum highlights art that is based on light, sound, and touch. Not to mention, it also offers interactive experiences that allow the visitors to move around the rooms and communicate with the art pieces. The new museum comprises several exhibitions, such as the Borderless World, Athletics Forest, Forest Of Land, Future Park, And an En Tea House. The last one has over 80 independent albeit interrelated works.

Highlights Of The Museums

As it happens, there are several highlights of this museum and we are here to tell you about them.

Antigravity Universe
Yes, here a group of joint ovoids continuously rise and fall and when you push them they change colour. Not to mention, they also emit a tone, which is specific to that colour! Thereafter, other ovoids in the room also respond one after the other.
Multi-jumping universe
This is a flexible service when multiple people can jump on. As a result, you get to then sync or even jump higher than before.
Caterpillar House
Comprising rapidly rotating spheres, visitors can jump on them. While they keep rotating at a high speed, as visitors approach them, they stop to safely let them cross the path.
Borderless World
In this space, several artworks have been displayed. Yes, 81 independent albeit interlined artworks are displayed, which makes it quite fascinating.

However, there are many more such attractions at the museum that are worth checking out. In case you want a single pass, this will set you back by SAR50, the family group begins at SAR450, and a VIP Pass begins at SAR8000.
