Jashn-e-Rekhta Dubai, which is one of the most renowned celebrations of the Urdu language, literature, and culture is making its way back this February. Happening on February 1 and 2, this will be taking place at Zabeel Park and will feature over 50 artists from the UAE, India, Pakistan, and other countries. After the immense success of the previous edition, this year is going to be an even grander affair. Yes, you can expect people from all walks of life to attend the event, which will feature an array of performances, cultural experiences, and interactive sessions.

In fact, you can also expect renowned celebrities and literary luminaries, such as Zehra Nigah, Javed Akhtar, Imran Abbas, and Saba Qamar, to name a few. They will be engaging in thought-provoking discussions and recitations at the festival, and it will feature two stages. Mehfil Khana and Dayaar-e-Izhaar will be the two stages of the festival.
There will also be a Grand Mushaira, which will be a gathering of contemporary poets from India and Pakistan, musical performances, and even women’s sufi Qawwali ensemble. Renowned artists like Piyush Mishra and Ali Sethi, will also be making their way to the festival.

As revealed in a report by the Gulf News, the festival will feature plenty of regional and cultural cuisines at the Aiwan-e-Zaiqa Food Festival. Not to mention, there will also be plenty of books, crafts, and literary gems that enthusiastic bibliophiles can explore. The life-size hologram of legendary poet Mirza Ghalib, AI-powered Dial-e-Poet technology will also allow attendees to interact with the voices of the iconic poets. Moreover, there will be fun and educational games that will test one’s poetic skills. After its debut in London in 2023 and a successful inaugural edition in Dubai in 2024, Jashn-e-Rekhta Dubai is finally returning, and there is a lot of anticipation.
