Jennifer Winget Loves Poi, A Traditional Goan Bread

Despite being a hardcore Mumbaikar, Jennifer fell in love with Goa and she purchased a house there! This way it is easy for her to plan a trip to Goa and enjoy the peace, local food and wonderful beaches. This beautiful beach destination is like her second home now.

We headed over to Sorozai to immerse in the vibes of mini-Goa in the suburbs of Mumbai. We quickly ordered chicken cafreal pizza, chicken chilli, tuna sev, chicken cafreal with poi paired with peri peri fries, and two fruit beverages. Jennifer was the happiest to see the traditional bread of Goa, poi!

Jennifer Winget immediately took a bite of poi and spoke about how soft, wholesome and yummy it was. The actor also told us that she has a special place in her heart for bread. Not only does she enjoy eating poi, but also loves to eat pav, the traditional bread of Maharashtra!

One dish that was calling out to us was the innovative tuna sev. From afar, it resembled a classic loaded sev puri. However, Sorozai gave an incredible twist to this iconic Mumbaiya street food. A pescatarian version of it by adding chunks of well-seasoned tuna. Both were quite excited to try it out.

They picked up this snackable item, did cheers and ate the entire thing in a go! The flavour of fresh tuna, crunchy and savoury puri, loaded with sev and many more was a burst of flavours in their mouths. They locked eyes and nodded in agreement as they appreciated this creative dish.
