Madhavan Neil Kirti

Our Sunday Brunch this time was a little different! Instead of treating our guests at a restaurant or visiting their homes for a meal, we had a little potluck party! Our Editor-in-Chief Kamiya Jani was joined by none other than R. Madhavan, Neil Nitin Mukesh, and Kirti Kulhari. They spoke about everything from comfort foods and crazy food combinations to financial advice. So, scroll on to see how it all went down.

This Sunday Brunch was special as Kamiya sat down for a hearty potluck with R. Madhavan, Neil Nitin Mukesh, and Kirti Kulhari. Before the dabbbas were opened, we asked the three actors if they indulged in such potlucks at their film sets. While Neil and Kirti said they loved to eat with the people on set and occasionally treated the team to local famous dishes, R. Madhavan revealed that he has a rule where his food on film sets is brought in by his female leads in the movie!

The trio worked on a film together named Hisaab Barabar, so we spoke to them about their spending habits, how they like to spend money, investments, and whatnot. We even spoke about online scams like digital scams and how despite the rising awareness, people often fall prey to such scams as they are so well executed.

While playing a game on Never Have I Ever, R. Madhavan revealed he sometimes buys ridiculously expensive things while travelling abroad because of the judgemental eyes of the shopkeepers! They also shared the recipes of their favourite dishes. Maddy shared the recipe of Kolkata Egg Roll, Kirti shared the recipe for Oats Chilla, and Neil dished the detailed recipe for Sunny Side Up!

What The Sunday Brunch Spread Looked Like

For this potluck party, everyone got their dabbas from home! Obviously, we excused R. Madhavan because as he mentioned, “Main Dubai se leke aata toh thoda baasi ho jata!” Kirti Kulhari’s dabba included Shahi Chicken Korma and Saffron Rice. In Neil’s lunchbox were some delectable Gujarati dishes like Thepla with Chunda, and Undhiyu, and for dessert, he had Kada Prashad. Kamiya took up the responsibility of desserts and got delicious Ras Malai, Gulab Jamun, and Jalebi from Curly Tales’ restaurant, Imlee The Chaat Gali. Safe to say, the potluck had lots of flavours!

When she’s not scouting out new spots to explore or eat at, you'll likely find her experimenting with Instagram recipes in the kitchen or binge-watching a K-Drama.
