On 11th April, a restaurant with a flair for the dramatic and the delicious was launched in Golf Avenue 42, a high-end complex on Golf Course Road, Abu Dhabi. Enter KOCA by Yuvraj Singh, or as the locals might soon call it, the place where taste meets artistry. With a sprawling 14,000 square feet spread across two floors, KOCA brings together fine-dining elegance and a high-energy atmosphere. Sounds like the perfect blend for an unforgettable meal. Our Editor in Chief, Kamiya Jani, became the first guest to enjoy a starry brunch at KOCA by Yuvraj Singh in Gurugram and here are all the insights.
KOCA by Yuvraj Singh, A Culinary Journey That Hits Sixes
KOCA, short for Kitchen of Celebratory Arts, is a celebration of flavours and memories, much like Yuvraj Singh’s cricket career. The restaurant pays tribute to his journey on the field, his travels across the globe, and the diverse experiences he’s gathered along the way. But what truly makes KOCA stand out is the twist it gives to everyday dishes. You’ll be surprised by flavours that hit nostalgia with flair of modern gastronomy. Expect dishes inspired by Yuvraj’s favourite childhood snacks to the bold flavours he discovered during his travels.
The Star-Studded Sunday Brunch With Kamiya Jani, First Guest At KOCA
KOCA’s opening came with a bang and the first guest to experience it was none other than Kamiya Jani, Editor in Chief of Curly Tales. She had the honour of meeting Yuvraj Singh himself, along with his mother, Shabnam Singh. The trio sat down for a delightful Sunday brunch, sharing laughs, stories, along with a few heartfelt memories.
Shabnam Singh, with her warmth and wit, shared stories of Yuvraj’s childhood. Giving us insights from his sweet love story with Hazel Keech,to his famous knock against Australia. Did you know that even Yuvraj Singh still scolds a few Indian players if they don’t score runs? His passion for cricket is as evident in the kitchen as it was on the pitch as per his mother.
What’s On The Menu?
If you thought KOCA was all about the ambience, wait till you see the menu. The culinary team, led by Prateek Jha and Adiba Jha (the masterminds from Izumi Dubai), have created a feast that combines Pan-Asian flavours with global influences.
Here are some menu highlights:
- Tandoori Avocado Hummus – Yuvraj’s signature starter.
- Tempura Fries – Crispy, crunchy goodness.
- Rajma Avocado Galawati – A vegan twist on a childhood classic.
- Tofu Teriyaki – Tender and saucy indulgence.
- Mushroom Bao – A flavour bomb
- Prawn Hargow – Delicately wrapped, explosively delicious.
- Kadhi Chawal Risotto – A luxurious take on comfort food.
- Peanut Mushroom Dan Dan – Nutty, spicy, and unforgettable.
- Chicken Yakitori – Grilled to perfection.
- Cauliflower65 Maki – A fusion that hits the right notes.
- Thai Green Curry Dumplings – A steaming hit of spice and comfort.
But the star of the show has to be The Gamechanger. This dessert tells the story of Yuvraj’s career, with matcha lava cake representing his aggressive spirit, chocolate rocks symbolising his calmness, and chocolate soil representing his grit. A true tribute to the cricketing legend.

Cocktails That Compliment The Flavours
No meal is complete without a drink to match, and KOCA has got that covered too. Luca Cinalli, an acclaimed Italian mixologist, crafted the restaurant’s bar programme with the same attention to detail as the food. The cocktail menu offers 12-15 handcrafted drinks designed to complement the bold flavours of the dishes. Whether you’re a fan of classic cocktails or something a little more adventurous, KOCA’s bar program promises to elevate your dining experience.
