Kamiya Jani Shared An Amazing Chopstick Hack With Ammy Virk

Are you someone who finds it difficult to use chopsticks to pick up sushi, noodles or more? Worry not, Curly Tales has quite an easy hack for you to master the usage of chopsticks. We even taught this trick to the lovely Punjabi munda, Ammy Virk, on this delightful Sunday Brunch episode. He joined our Editor-in-Chief, Kamiya Jani, at Chimichurri in Mumbai. Read on to learn the simple yet effective chopping trick.

Kamiya Jani And Ammy Virk At Chimichurri

Chimichurri is known for serving mouthwatering Asian and Chinese cuisine. It’s a perfect brunch spot for Ammy as we know he is a fan of Chinese food. He shared that he loves to eat momo, especially the ones that Nepali vendors sell in Punjab. He dearly misses that authentic momo taste in Mumbai.

It was time to indulge in Chinese food with flavourful sushi, dumplings, bao and more. The food looked incredibly appetising; Kamiya and Ammy couldn’t wait to dig in as both love Chinese cuisine. However, Ammy Virk mentioned he can’t eat with chopsticks.

He told us that he wasn’t aware of the correct usage of chopsticks. He tried to master it but unfortunately, it didn’t work out for him. Therefore, he mostly avoids them. Upon this revelation, Kamiya shared a quick and easy chopstick hack with him before they enjoyed their brunch.

Curly Tales is full of food and travel recommendations and hacks. This time, we taught Ammy Virk a simple chopstick hack which helped him eat sushi and dumplings without any hassle. All we did was break the chopsticks. Take a tissue paper and place the rear end of the chopsticks, facing each other, in the middle of one end of the tissue. There should be a gap between the ends.

At this point, Ammy said, “Meri zindagi bann jayegi, agar yeh (chopsticks) chalani aa gayi,” and it made Kamiya laugh a little. Now, she told him to cover the stick with tissue paper and start rolling it to the other end of the tissue. Next, you bend the paper roll from the middle and hold the chopsticks as it is supposed to be. Voila, you can now use it to pick up food items just like Ammy did!
