Kamiya Jani Shops Her Heart Out At Ahmedabad Shopping Festival

Gujarat, a state known for its rich culture and tradition and its booming 18 lakh crore economy, is hosting India’s largest shopping festival— the Ahmedabad Shopping Festival. Our Editor-in-Chief Kamiya Jani couldn’t contain her excitement and had to visit this shopping festival to immerse in the jubilance. Spanning over 95 days until January 14, 2025, this shopping festival is your sign to stock up on jewellery, handmade khadi kurtis and more!

Kamiya Jani Visits The Buzzing Ahmedabad Shopping Festival

The Ahmedabad Shopping Festival is held in four major shopping districts: Sindhu Bhavan Road, C.G. Road, Maninagar-Kankaria Rambaug Road, and Nikol-Modern Street & Naroda Area. You will be met with amazing discounts at all these shopping districts.

Kamiya kickstarted her shopping fiesta at Sindhu Bhavan Road. From vibrant mojaris to carpets to mirror-work and khadi kurtas, she was able to buy everything under one roof. Promising non-stop entertainment, the Ahmedabad Shopping Festival which commenced on Dussehra will end on a high note on Uttarayan, Gujarat’s Kite Festival. It is the festival of festivals!

Dine On Sabarmati River Cruise & Explore The City

For wedding-season shopping, Kamiya checked out the shopping district on C.G. Road. Wedding-related essentials like bridal jewellery and designer outfits are signatures of this district. She was highly impressed with the Ahmedabad Shopping Festival’s ‘Vocal for Local’ cause which not only empowers its local vendors but also gives opportunities to shoppers like her to purchase unique items.

So, what were Kamiya’s favourite finds at the Ahmedabad Shopping Festival? Roasted millets by Mahi Ben, silver jewellery at Silver Femmes, thread artwork by state award-winning artist Dilip, Shailesh’s terracotta showpieces, a rose made of crochet and much more. After a fun evening of shopping her heart out, Kamiya Jani headed to Sabarmati Riverfront for a lavish buffet on the Akshar River Cruise.

Apart from shopping her heart out at the Ahmedabad Shopping Festival, our Editor-in-Chief also visited the Sabarmati Ashram. She experienced a touch of history at the ashram, devoured local delicacies at Manek Chowk and embarked on a city heritage walking tour.
