In an unexpected collab, comedian Zakir Khan devoured an Aussie meal cooked by none other than MasterChef Australia S13 winner, Justin Narayan. With the comedian in Australia, Narayan had to introduce him to Australia’s classic ingredients and of course, wait for his reactions. This dinner proved to be an adventurous one, as Zakir Khan admitted his kangaroos virginity has been taken.
Zakir Khan Enjoys An Aussie Meal Cooked By Justin Narayan
A video posted by Justin Narayan on Instagram, shows the chef cooking and serving India’s beloved standup comic, Zakir Khan. In his caption, Narayan mentions that one would expect nothing less than good food and good laughs from the duo. He called it a memorable night where Khan tried everything from raw fish, kangaroo, Vegemite and Tim Tam’s. The verdict? Zakir Khan is pretty much an Aussie now!
Zakir joked about Justin being a fan of the Australian cricket team and a “Virat Kohli hater”, to which Justin interjected and admitted to being a “Jasprit (Bumra) fan.” The comedian revealed that the chef is his friend and hosted him for dinner. The MasterChef Australia winner expertly plated his dishes with caviar, sliced a fish, tossed potatoes in spices, grilled prawns and served Zakir Khan with warmth.

Tries Kangaroo Meat, Raw Fish & Vegemite For The First Time
“Tasty but can be cooked,” joked Zakir after his first bite. The comedian tried Australia’s iconic Vegemite, a dark brown-hued food spread made of yeast extract. It’s known to have pungent salty flavours which Zakir wasn’t a fan of. He sportingly shook hands with Justin for taking away his “kangaroo virginity.” Raw fish, kangaroo meat, prawns were some of the things the comedian feasted on.
Not just the fun moments and fond memories from his dinner cooked by the MasterChef Australia alum, Zakir also took home a signed copy of “Everything Is Indian”, the chef’s new cookbook. Earlier, Zakir Khan even took comedian and actor Hasan Minhaj to Indore for some street food.
Well, to see two stalwarts from two different industries meet and chill was enthusing. Are you inspired to try kangaroo meat like Zakir or is it a no-no?
