This particular architectural marvel is located near Bhopal and was built in the 11th Century. This ancient Hindu temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, stands as a testament to the architectural brilliance of medieval India.

Constructed under the patronage of the legendary Raja Bhoj of the Paramara dynasty, the structure exemplifies the sophisticated engineering and artistic sensibilities of its era. Raja Bhoj, a celebrated ruler, scholar and polymath, commissioned numerous architectural projects throughout his reign.

The Bhojpur temple represents one of his most enduring legacies. The temple’s most striking feature is its massive stone lingam, one of the largest monolithic Shiva lingams in India, housed within a spacious sanctum.

The temple was built using massive sandstone blocks fitted together without mortar. This demonstrates the remarkable precision of ancient construction techniques. Though incomplete due to historical circumstances, the existing structure reveals an ambitious vision that would have resulted in an even more imposing edifice had it been completed.

In his social media post, Sharma encouraged his followers to visit the temple, describing it as an “architectural masterpiece” and concluding with the devotional phrase “Har Har Mahadev,” commonly used to invoke Lord Shiva.

While in Bhopal, the comedian is balancing his spiritual pursuits with professional commitments. He is currently filming Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2, the sequel to his 2015 debut film, under the direction of Anukalp Goswami. The project reunites him with producers Ratan Jain, Ganesh Jain and directors Abbas-Mustan, with actors Manjot Singh confirmed and Nimrit Kaur reportedly in discussions to join the cast.
