You would think that star kids would go to school in super fancy cars with their own private chauffeurs. But that might actually not hold true for all the star kids in the business. Especially, as it seems to be, the Kapoor sisters. Yes, it is true, the famous pair of Karishma and Kareena Kapoor or Lolo and Bebo, as they are popularly known used to travel to school on a school bus. I know exactly how bizarre that sounds but isn’t it quite endearing too?
Living The Simple Life
Recently, actress, Karishma Kapoor opened up about her life, movies and being a star to a popular Instagram page. While talking about her childhood, the actress who is the granddaughter of Raj Kapoor went on to say that she and her sister, Kareena used to travel back and fro from school on the communal school bus. She said, “What motivated me was how grounded my mom kept me. Despite being from an ‘illustrious’ family, she made us live a simple life. My sister & I travelled by school bus and went to college by local trains.”
How crazy is that? Can you imagine travelling to work in a local train on a regular day and accidentally bumping into an actor or your favourite actress? The chances of that happening are actually pretty slim but to hear that two of the biggest actresses in the industry have lived such a humbling and modest life gives us hope.
Looks like you can take a person out of Bombay, but you can’t take Bombay out of a person and that holds true for the rich, middle class and the poor alike. We love how relatable they are and now we are totally going to be on the lookout for our favourite actors while travelling via public transport.
