According to Hindustan Times, a statewide 12-hour bandh has been announced by various groups in protest against the recent attack on a KSRTC driver in Maharashtra. This shutdown will impact various services in Bengaluru and other cities of Karnataka. Partial closures and transport disruptions are expected throughout the state.

Security has been heightened across Bengaluru and additional forces have been deployed in several areas. These include the Majestic, Town Hall, Mysore Bank Circle, and Freedom Park areas.

Now, if you’re wondering if this will impact bank services in Bengaluru and other cities, then it is to be noted that banks are usually shut on the fourth Saturday of every month. Since it is the fourth Saturday, banks will remain closed across the country. So, bank services won’t be impacted due to the protests but will simply be shut down because of RBI guidelines.
