Two of Karnataka’s airports – Belagavi and Hubli – made it among the top five airports in India in a customer satisfaction survey. Conducted by the Airports Authority of India (AAI), this survey ranked Belagavi Airport fourth and Hubli Airport in the fifth position. The survey was conducted in 58 airports and Bhopal’s Raja Bhoj Airport led the table on this index. Read on to know more about it.
Two Airports In Karnataka Amongst The Top 5 In AAI’s Survey
The Belagavi airport and Hubballi airport secured fourth and fifth spot, respectively, on AAI’s Customer Satisfaction Index of Airports for Round -II 2023 vis-a-vis Round-I 2023. These airports in Karnataka were evaluated on 33 parameters. The Belagavi airport scored 4.97, while the Hubli airport got a score of 4.95 in this survey. The Bhopal Airport ended up scoring 5 and topped the Customer Satisfaction survey by AAI. In fact, the list featured two more airports from Karnataka. Mysuru and Kalaburagi secured the 22 and 29 rank on the list, respectively.

Parameters For AAI’s Customer Satisfaction Index
For the Customer Satisfaction Index, the AAI focuses on 33 parameters. The 58 participating airports were scored on these parameters with 5 being the highest score under each category. The AAI also evaluated the Belagavi and Hubli Airports on the same parameters. Some of these parameters are ground transportation to/from the airport, parking facilities, availability of baggage carts and trolleys, and waiting time in the check-in queue/line. Furthermore, AAI also checks parameters like the efficiency of check-in staff, courtesy and helpfulness of check-in staff, thoroughness of security inspection, value for money of restaurant/eating facilities, comfort of waiting/gate areas, and internet access/Wi-Fi.
