The number of people travelling between Karnataka and Kerala is increasing. This is more so for people travelling between Kerala’s Munnar and Bengaluru, the capital of Karnataka. Hence, in order to meet the growing demand, the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation or KSRTC has decided to make the weekend special bus services between Bengaluru and Munnar permanent. Here are all of the other important details that you would need to know about these bus services.

According to an article which was recently published by Omanorama, this service was only available earlier during the festival seasons. However, since the demand for the bus route has increased, the Karnataka RTC has decided to make it permanent.

As per the article, the bus service will operate from Munnar to Bengaluru. It will start on Fridays and will return to Bengaluru on Sundays. It is important to note that the bus is not air-conditioned. The timing of the bus service is 9:11 PM and it departs from the Bengaluru Santinagar terminal.

The route for the us service is through Salem, Coimbatore, Pollachi, and Udumalpet. It reaches Bengaluru by 10:05 AM. The return journey commences at 5:08 PM and reaches the Silicon Valley of India by 6:30 in the following morning.

It takes approximately 13 hours to complete the journey between Bengaluru and Munnar. The tickets for the same cost around ₹1,246 as per the Omanorama article. The move to make the bus service permanent will no doubt make the lives of many people more convenient.

This move demonstrates the commitment of the corporation to provide convenient and affordable road transportation for all.
