The Coast Guard Had To Spray Water
As per The Hindu, the Coast Guard acted quickly and sprayed water to control the fire on the ship. A special salvage team has left Kochi to begin recovery operations as well. About 25 containers have fallen into the sea. Many of them are at risk of drifting towards the Ernakulam and Thrissur coasts as well. These containers carried hazardous substances, raising serious environmental concerns among the people. However, Authorities are keeping a close watch on the situation to prevent pollution and damage to the coast.

This is deeply saddening, people are injured, some are missing, and now the sea can also face water pollution due to the contents of those containers on the cargo ship. We hope the authorities can manage the situation soon.
