In a move that will widely benefit many patients in the Indian state of Kerala, a private hospital is collaborating with the state transport corporation to provide a new bus service. Rajagiri Hospital in Aluva, Kochi, is collaborating with the Kerala State Road Transportation Corporation or KSRTC for this new bus service between the hospital and Kollam. Here are all of the other important details that you would need to know about this new bus service in Kerala.
A New Bus Service Between Kollam And Rajagiri Hospital
According to an article which was recently published by The Times Of India or TOI, the new bus service was announced on Saturday, August 24, 2024. The telos behind the launch of this bus service is to improve the travel experience of the patients.
In addition to this, it is also hoped that the bus service will provide a more convenient travel alternative for patients from different districts in Kerala who want to travel to Rajagiri Hospital. The bus service was announced by the transport minister of Kerala, K B Ganesh Kumar.
The fast passenger bus service will be available every day between Kollam and Rajagiri Hospital. It will start at Perumbavoor at 4:20 PM and arrive at Rajagiri Hospital at 4:45 PM. From there, it will reach Kollam by 10:05 PM. The return trip from Kollam will commence at 5 PM every day.
Bus Service Between Palakkad And Rajagiri Hospital
The bus service will be especially beneficial for elderly passengers. Speaking about the bus service, the transport minister said that only select hotels that provide excellent food and services will be chosen as stops for long-distance travel for the bus service.
What is more, the minister also said that they are also mulling over starting another service between Rajagiri Hospital and the Palakkad district of Kerala.
