Have you ever imagined how the beautiful town of Munnar would look from the skies? Well, you will be able to soon witness this glorious site as Kerala is planning to launch seaplane services from Bolgatty to Mattupetty. Reportedly, the authorities have been able to successfully complete the initial inspection of this new service.

Seaplane Services To Be Launched From Bolgatty To Mattupetty In Kerala

With an aim to boost tourism in the region, Kerala will soon launch seaplane services from Bolgatty to Mattupetty. This will allow tourists to see the majestic Western Ghats from the skies and enjoy the beauty of Munnar. According to Onmanorama, now that the initial inspection is completed, the authorities will conduct experiential flying from next week. The first one is expected to take off from Bolgatty Palace in Kochi.

Seaplanes, although much smaller, have large windows that will allow tourists to enjoy the stunning landscape of Kerala with this new service. As per reports, a water aerodrome will be built near the boat jetty at Mattupetty Dam as part of this project. The authorities have brought together a team of experts to conduct inspections at the proposed site. The team consists of a director from the Airport Authority of India, a chief dam safety engineer, CIAL officials, and officers from the electrical department. Another round of inspection will be conducted by senior officials from the forest department.
