Namo Bharat rapid rail or Vande Bharat Metro trains, which are Indian electrical multiple-unit trains, have revolutionised short-distance travel in our country. Now, Kerala, which is said to be one of the most beautiful states in India, is all set to receive these trains. Kerala is slated to receive as many as ten new Namo Bharat trains. Kerala To Get Ten New Namo Bharat Trains; See Routes
According to an article which was recently published by Onmanorama, two of the ten trains being launched will be starting from Kollam. One will head to Tirunelveli and the other will head to Thrissur. If reports are to go by, there are plans to extend the latter service to Guruvayur.
Two other trains will also pass through the Kollam district. One of these trains will start at Thiruvananthapuram or Trivandrum and end at Ernakulam, and the other will start at Guruvayur and end at Madurai. These routes include stops like Aryankavu, Kottarakkara, Punalur, and Thenmala among others.
As per the Onmanorama article, the beauty of the Kollam-Sengottai route is especially worth witnessing. The route was created during the British Era and features stunning views.
