Sidharth Malhotra Proposed Kiara Advani
This week, Kiara appeared as a guest on Karan Johar’s Koffee with Karan. During the show, the Kabir Singh star revealed that while she had a feeling Sidharth would pop the question, she was unsure of the exact timing.
Kiara revealed that Sidharth and Vicky Kaushal had recently returned from the trip where he had proposed to her when they appeared on Koffee with Karan last season. Kiara stated that although Sid’s parents were travelling with them, her parents were unable to accompany them due to her mother’s COVID-19 diagnosis.
Kiara instructed Sidharth to ask her parents for permission before proposing to her after they had discussed their desire to spend the rest of their lives together.
According to Kiara, Sidharth took her to a Michelin-starred restaurant in Rome on their first day of travel. Along with them was his young nephew, who was there to capture the moment on camera. Although Kiara anticipated receiving a proposal at some point during the trip, she was not prepared for it to occur on the first day.

Kiara Said Nothing, Sid Recited Shershaah’s Dialogue
Sidharth had organised a candlelight dinner. After dinner, they were heading back, and he took her for a stroll upstairs. As they walked in, the violinist unexpectedly emerged from the shrubbery to begin playing, and his adorable little nephew was filming the video from behind the bushes.
Then he dropped to one knee to propose. It surprised Kiara so much that she did not say anything. Sidharth began repeating lines from his proposal moment in Shershaah since Kiara remained silent. Kiara claimed that after finishing his speech, he ran out of things to say and began reciting Shershaah’s dialogue.
He said to me, “Dilli ka seedha sada launda hun,” which is exactly what Shershaah said in the movie. Kiara started laughing then. The “best part,” according to Kiara, was that they were able to celebrate with his family because they were present. They then gave Karan and Kiara’s parents a video call.

A Dreamy Wedding Lehenga
As we begin to piece the puzzle together, we’ve discovered that Kiara’s wedding lehenga was also connected to Rome.
The two looked amazing together, each in a different bridal gown. Kiara opted for an empress rose colour for her bridal lehenga instead of the traditional red one. The bride looked lovely in her exquisitely designed imperial rose Manish Malhotra ombre lehenga.
The intricate embroidery on the lehenga was reminiscent of Roman architecture. This simple yet very significant detail was inspired by the bridal couple’s love of Rome, the city of domes.
