On this episode of Tere Gully Mein, we have none other than rapper, singer and songwriter, King. Our Editor-in-Chief Kamiya Jani went for a gedi with the Baazi singer and explored the gullies of Mumbai, where magic happens. The duo got talking about the underground rap scene, King’s creative process and how struggles shaped him. During the engaging conversation, King revealed how he either works all day or does nothing.

King Talks About The Importance Of Me Time

While talking to Kamiya, King says, “Main kaam hi karta hoon roz. Aur jis din main kaam nahin karta, uss din kuch reh nahin jata karne keliye.” ( I work everyday. On the days I don’t work, I have nothing to do) He further spoke about loving his me-time and how he needs to spend time with himself. King tries to spend quality time with himself after he wraps up his work. Moreover, the rapper even spoke about having very few friends in the business and making time for them when he can.

Who are some of King’s friends? He names Badshah, Raftaar, Karma as some of them. While cruising through the gullies of Mumbai, King opened up on finding it difficult to meditate and focus on one thing at a time. He joked about maybe becoming an artist as he found it tough to be focused. The Maan Meri Jaan singer candidly spoke about musicians having their own unique lifestyles and way of working. Some work at night and others during the day, he opines.

We have to admit the vibe with King is unbeatable. During this ultimate gedi, Kamiya dug deep into what makes King the way he is. She delved into the singer’s passion for deep conversations and intense philosophical discussions with his friends and fellow rappers Badshah and Raftaar. Of course, we couldn’t finish this high energy ride through Mumbai without vibing to his biggest hits along the way.
