Konkan Railway Announces 7 Special Trains For Ganesh Chaturthi; From Route To Timings, Here’s All You Need To Know

In preparation for the upcoming Ganesh Chaturthi festival, Konkan Railway has announced the operation of seven special trains to manage the anticipated surge in passenger traffic during the ten-day-long festivities. Bookings for these special trains will commence on July 21 via Passenger Reservation Systems (PRS), online portals, and the IRCTC website.

The following trains will operate from September 1 to September 18:

  • Train No. 01151/01152: Mumbai CSMT – Sawantwadi Road – Mumbai CSMT Special. This train will depart Mumbai CSMT at 12:20 am and reaching Sawantwadi Road at 2:20 pm on the same day. The return journey (Train No. 01152) departs Sawantwadi Road at 3:10 pm and arrives at Mumbai CSMT at 3:45 am the next day.
  • Train No. 01153/01154: Mumbai CSMT – Ratnagiri – Mumbai CSMT Special. This train will depart Mumbai CSMT at 11:30 am and reaches Ratnagiri at 8:10 pm the same day. The return journey (Train No. 01154) departs Ratnagiri at 4:00 am and arrives at Mumbai CSMT at 1:30 pm.
  • Train No. 01167/01168: Lokmanya Tilak (T) – Kudal – Lokmanya Tilak (T) Special.Train No. 01167 departs Lokmanya Tilak (T) at 9:00 pm and reaches Kudal at 9:30 am the next day. The return journey (Train No. 01168) departs Kudal at 12:00 pm and arrives at Lokmanya Tilak (T) at 12:40 am the next day.
  • Train No. 01171/01172: Lokmanya Tilak (T) – Sawantwadi Road – Lokmanya Tilak (T) Special. 01171 departs Lokmanya Tilak (T) at 8:20 am and reaches Sawantwadi Road at 9:00 pm the same day. The return journey (Train No. 01172) departs Sawantwadi Road at 10:20 pm and arrives at Lokmanya Tilak (T) at 10:40 am the next day.
  • Train No. 01155/01156: Diva Jn. – Chiplun – Diva Special (MEMU). It departs Diva Jn. at 7:15 am and reaches Chiplun at 2:00 pm the same day. The return journey (Train No. 01156) departs Chiplun at 3:30 pm and reaches Diva Jn. at 10:50 pm. This 12-coach MEMU train caters to shorter distance travel and halts at various stations between Diva Jn. and Chiplun.

Special Weekly And Tri-Weekly Trains

  1. Train No. 01185/01186: Lokmanya Tilak (T) – Kudal – Lokmanya Tilak (T) Special (Tri-Weekly). This train operates three days a week, on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays from September 2 to 18. It departs Lokmanya Tilak (T) at 12:45 am and reaches Kudal at 12:30 pm the same day. The return journey (Train No. 01186) departs Kudal at 4:30 pm and arrives at Lokmanya Tilak (T) at 4:50 am on the following day.
  2. Train No. 01165/01166: Lokmanya Tilak (T) – Kudal – Lokmanya Tilak (T) Special (Weekly). This train operates once a week on Sundays, September 8, 15, and 22. It departs Lokmanya Tilak (T) at 12:45 am and reaches Kudal at 12:30 pm the same day. The return journey (Train No. 01166) departs Kudal at 4:30 pm and arrives at Lokmanya Tilak (T) at 4:50 am on the following day.
