From Mykonos To Phuket, Kuwait Airways To Start Direct Flights To 5 New Destinations In 2026

Kuwait Airways has confirmed plans to launch direct flights to five new international destinations in 2026. From Europe to Asia and the Indian Ocean, the destination list is out and expansive. The carrier plans to give travellers more choice, reach and fewer connecting flights.

Kuwait Airways Unveils Launch Of 5 New International Routes

According to details shared in a report by Kuwait Times, the expansion reflects Kuwait Airways’ long-term strategy to strengthen global connectivity while catering to both leisure seekers and business travellers.

Mykonos Returns, Moscow Joins The Map

One of the most talked-about additions is Mykonos, the sun-soaked Greek island. Kuwait Airways will operate twice-weekly flights from 14 June 2026. Then there’s Moscow, with flights set to take off three times a week. The route opens up access to one of Europe’s most historic capitals.

Asia Gets A Stronger Link With Kuwait Airways

The airline extends its new route to Beijing, connecting Kuwait directly with one of Asia’s most important political and commercial centres, for trade, tourism and government travel.

On the leisure front, Kuwait Airways is also adding flights to the Maldives. It makes connectivity between the Gulf and the island better and easier without complicated transfers.

Rounding out the list is Phuket, one of Southeast Asia’s busiest beach destinations. The new service taps into steady demand for Thailand travel, especially among long-haul leisure passengers.

What This Expansion Really Means

Kuwait Airways already serves more than 60 destinations worldwide. This connects Kuwait International Airport to major cities across several continents. The choice of destinations says a lot. Mykonos and Phuket target seasonal leisure demand, whereas Beijing and Moscow strengthen business and cultural ties. And finally, the Maldives caters to premium holiday traffic.

Exact launch dates and frequencies for Beijing, Maldives and Phuket will be confirmed closer to mid-2026, with seasonal schedule updates.
