The 18th edition of Liwa Ajman Dates & Honey Festival is here, and it is being held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, who is the Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman. Organised by the Ajman Department of Tourism Development, this festival will begin on July 27 and go on till July 30, which is Sunday. For the festival, 350 distinguished participants have come forward to prepare an exceptional programme that will include plenty of captivating events and workshops for the duration of this fiesta.

The Liwa Ajman Dates & Honey Festival will begin on July 27 with a series of exciting activities and performances. If you plan to attend this event, you can look forward to the Juffair decoration workshop, decoupage workshop on gypsum, and bewitching performances by the Shaer band. During the four days of the festival, there will be a lively Medley and the Al-Madis Workshop! As it happens, you can also sign up for a bunch of other workshops such as palm frond painting, palm grove & the wicker dyeing workshop, Al-Basaal, and rope-breaking.

What Are The Highlights Of This Festival?

Did you know that participants in competitions have a chance of winning valuable prizes worth three 88,000 dirhams? Well, for this purpose, a variety of competitions are being organised, starting with the Mazayna Dates competition. In this one, the best dates will be showcased and rewarded, which will include competing varieties, such as Youman, Khashari, Al Shishi, and Khalas for Ajman contestants. Coming to other highlights of the festival, these include a popular market where small and medium enterprises will be supported, a date & honey market, craft workshops, and a display of natural products by farmers. As it happens, there are even traditional competitions and games for children that will be organised, with the aim of enhancing the Emirati identity!
