An Air India flight heading to London recently had to make its way back to the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport or CSMIA in Mumbai. This is because the flight had a technical error that needed to be addressed. Earlier, another Air India flight had hit a snag after a bird hit it. Air India Flight To London Returns After It Hits A Snag
According to an article which was recently published by Times Now or TN, this particular flight was numbered AI 129. It was headed to London from the CSMIA in Mumbai. However, as soon as it reached Kota in Rajasthan, it had to fly back to its point of origin.
If reports are to go by, there was a certain technical glitch in the plane owing to which, this had to be done. As per a post shared on X (formerly known as Twitter), an abnormal sound on the plane was reported while landing.
As per an Air India spokesperson cited in the TN article, alternate flight options as well as refunds and scheduling flights for a different date were offered to the passengers.
Goa Flight Aborts Take-Off After A Bird Hits The Plane
Earlier today, another incident about an Air India flight made headlines. This particular flight was from Goa. However, before it could take off from the Dabolim Airport, a bird hit the engine and the take-off of the flight had to be aborted.
This incident, according to an article by India Today, took place today at 6:45 AM. In order to thoroughly investigate the plane, it has been parked at the bay.
Air India also recently made headlines for discontinuing the 55-minute flight between Mumbai and Pune owing to low demand.
