Brand Finance, a brand valuation consultancy, has released a report on the World’s Best City Brand 2023. The list is based on a global poll of around 15,000 people performed in April 2023 in 20 countries across all continents to assess public opinions of the top 100 cities in the globe. According to the survey, London is crowned as the best city brand in the world! While Dubai is proving its reputation in the Middle East.
London Tops The World’s Best City Brand 2023 List
With a score of 84.6 out of 100, London is crowned as the best city brand in the world. It has achieved stronger brand perceptions due to its great familiarity among respondents worldwide. According to the CEO of Brand Finance, the city has a huge advantage over its competitors. Moreover, it is also known for its academic excellence with renowned universities. The iconic landmarks located in the city and being a prime tourist centre have added to its advantage. Additionally, London is the birthplace of great drama, theatre and music which appeals to literature and theatre enthusiasts.

New York secured the second spot following London. The Big Apple houses some of the world’s great universities and schools and is a centre for art. And not to forget that it has great nightlife and offers some amazing restaurant options. While Paris, the ‘City Of Love’, has ranked third overall! Due to its rich culture and heritage and some of the iconic landmarks, Paris has a score of 79.7 out of 100.
Dubai Claims 1st Position In The Middle East!
Though Dubai has ranked 9th overall, it has certainly claimed the first position for World’s Best City Brand in the Middle East. It is called the ‘City Of Gold’ and has become a major shopping destination for jewellery. Besides this, it has also performed well in the ‘business’ sector and has immense scope for growth in the future.

The city that ranked second in the Middle East is Abu Dhabi. It is known for luxury shopping malls, stunning buildings and cultural landmarks. However, Abu Dhabi has secured 28th rank overall.
