But it seems that people who were travelling aboard an Air India Express flight, which was bound for Dubai from Lucknow on Wednesday, had a rather uncomfortable experience. They were stranded at the airport for hours as the flight was delayed for more than eight hours. Here’s what happened!
Air India Express Dubai-Bound Flight Delayed For Over 8 Hours
Air India Express flight to Dubai from Lucknow was delayed for over eight hours, due to which passengers were left stranded at the airport. It was supposed to depart from Lucknow on Wednesday at 8:45 AM. However, the flight IX-193 ended up taking off only at 5:11 PM.
Due to the massive delay, passengers were seen sitting or sleeping on the floors as they waited for updates regarding the flight. Some frustrated passengers even took to X (formerly Twitter) to mention how the staff from the flight didn’t help the passengers. They took to sharing videos from the waiting area where people were seen lying on the floor or sitting on their luggage.

Why Did The Disruption Happen?
According to a report by Khaleej Times, this disruption of the flight was possibly caused due the flight IX-194 the flight IX-194 arriving late. The inbound service was therefore delayed by more than 16 hours. In fact, the aircraft was also scheduled to leave Dubai early Wednesday morning. However, it was held back the previous night due to a suspected technical issue. As a result, precautionary checks were carried out to ensure there was no fault, and no faults were found.
The airline has also responded to the post, apologising for the delay caused. In fact, it was just the previous month when Air India Express had also cancelled flights IX-193 and IX-194 for three consecutive days.
